Tech Teens and CRO US Virtual Youth Exchange program soon at the Urban centre
In organization of the City of Šibenik, on September 13th new “Tech teens” workshops are taking place, more eventful and more diverse. These courses are developed for children of primary and secondary school age at which they will have the opportunity to learn everything about new technologies.
“Tech teens” program is created by American IT expert Keith Bradley, which is going to be a speaker at workshops. The program will be divided into three types of classes:
1. Mobile App development (creation and development of applications for smartphones, designed for children aged 14-19 years)
2. Microsoft Touch development (basics of programming and computer thinking, for children aged 11-14 years)
3. Creating VR/AR Apps (creation of applications of virtual and augmented reality on the Windows platform, for children aged 14-19 years)
The workshops will last for four weeks, with an exception of Microsoft Touch development workshops with duration of six weeks. As last year's pilot program “Tech teen” yielded tremendous success and gained great popularity among young people from Šibenik, there is already a great interest for new workshops. The reason for this is certainly a unique way of teaching of Keith Bradley, different than the classical school learning. All workshops are held in English, which will definitely help the young participants raise their level of language knowledge, together with new skills ready to be adopted.
In addition to above mentioned workshops, the CRO US Virtual Youth Exchange program co-sponsored by the US Embassy and the City of Šibenik will begin on September 13th. This program will last for eight weeks, and will be guided by three American speakers: James Hoard, Josh Engel i Keith Bradley.
James Hoard will educate young Sibenik people on basic UI/UX design principles, while Josh Engel`s topic is creation and development of web-pages.
These workshops will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the Urban centre, located at the square “Stari Pazar”. Applications for “Tech teens” workshops and “CRO US Virtual Youth Exchange program” will be accepted at:
